This set is very tricky, and difficult to beat. Its main weakness is the offcenter LW. But that doesn't make it easy to beat.
This set tears most corners apart, and is extremely flexible.
Took me about 2-3 weeks to have just about mastered, and I rarely lose with it. Got to about 1400 relatively easily, then lost interest in the account.

The magic is settup the way it is for a few reasons.
One being it can take out a center lw with speed, because the magic wouldn't even need to move.
And also the pyros are a good lure for knights. When they go to attack pyro I use the pyro, and retreat it... Then I close the gap and tear the knight to shreds.
From there I just kinda move on.... But in most cases I just flank with the knights, if I can.
Its also a very fun set to use defensively....
It just eats up melee units, and scouts that get out of bw range.
Besides the early assassin rush I never have any problems with it.
The new grey I set up with this is 5-0 in under an hour.
5*
But yeah, when they throw the assassin up there don't panic. Just take your wounded pyro, maybe hit something (probably not assassin, for fear of assassin bomb), and retreat it.
From there procede to dominate. =P
u great!!!

I wouldn't take a pyro out for witch.... pyros and witchs are used very differently in this set, and I don't think it would help any.
