LW+DT should punish anything that comes up the non-furgon side; furgon shrubs up his end. If there's a witch threat, shrub the relevant space in the cleric's column first.
I still cannot see why you would have a lightning ward so far back. It makes it less effective because it is harder to protect units with it, and minimizes your territory. You then have less safe space to retreat to, let alone leaving your backup units open to attack from a scout. There are many other reasons to keep the lw in the front line.
But I have seen this in a number of formations, and was wondering if you had some solid rationale behind it.

It's true. LOL i wouldn't move in my scout from that side to hit cleric. and moving in nonvulnerable units (knight, DT) would be easy to block off with furgon moving back beside cleric and shrubbing.
